Sarah E. Reynolds is Partner and Head of International and Domestic Arbitration at Kaplan & Grady LLP. She represents multinational corporations and emerging technology companies in complex cross-border and domestic disputes before leading arbitral institutions including the AAA, ICDR, ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, WIPO, and JAMS, among others. Recognized for her strategic judgment and technical fluency, Sarah serves as both advocate and neutral across industries spanning technology, life sciences, energy, manufacturing, and finance.
Before joining Kaplan & Grady, Sarah was Managing Partner of Goldman Ismail Tomaselli Brennan & Baum LLP. Prior to that, she was Partner in Mayer Brown’s International Arbitration and Litigation group.
In addition to her counsel work, Sarah sits as arbitrator in international and domestic commercial disputes administered under major institutional rules. Her appointments include service as emergency, expedited, sole, and tribunal arbitrator in matters involving parties from the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a member of numerous institutional panels, including the ICDR, AAA, SIAC, HKIAC, DIAC, BVI IAC, and the Beijing Arbitration Commission.
Sarah is a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, where she teaches ADR for the Modern Advocate, and she serves as a Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She is a current Board and Executive Committee member of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (SVAMC) and a former CEO of the organization, where she helped lead development of the first global guidelines on the responsible use of AI in ADR.
Dual-qualified in the United States (Illinois and California) and in England & Wales and Ireland, Sarah combines deep procedural experience with a cross-border perspective grounded in both common law and civil law practice.
Sarah earned her J.D. at the University of Chicago Law School, her M.A. at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her B.A. at the University of Colorado.
