Alexandra graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English, and a minor in Legal Studies. Her honors thesis used deliberative democratic theory to advocate for more compassionate and less punitive post-conviction practices. At University of Illinois, Alexandra launched and led a pen pal program that connects students on campus with incarcerated people in Illinois, co-founded and led the Illinois Undergraduate Moot Court Team, and published a law note on the First Amendment rights of incarcerated people. She also served as the president of Volunteer Illini Projects, the largest student-run service organization on campus. Additionally, Alexandra interned with the Education Justice Project, Illinois Prison Project, Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, and Champaign County Circuit Court.  

Alexandra plans to attend law school in the future to develop her skills as an advocate using law as a tool for social change.
