Fraud – Jury Trial

$82.1 million jury verdict in Delaware state court on behalf of a private equity firm alleging that an acquired company’s most senior financial officer fraudulently manipulated revenue and EBITDA, inflating the purchase price by tens of millions of dollars.

Civil Rights Appeals

Argued before the en banc Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of two women who were sexually abused by jail guard; secured appellate win affirming $11.5 million verdict against the guard and the county that operated the jail.

Breach of Contract

Represented company in business interruption suit against insurers following an explosion in a critical unit; overcame valuation defenses, including adjuster’s position that business shutdown during Covid-19 saved the company money, and obtained a favorable pre-trial settlement.
